The oscars coming up and it got me thinking... I’m fed up with how some actors behave now. They seem more interested in chasing the spotlight and being "WOKE" than delivering a solid performance. It’s like they can’t wait to stand on a stage, collect an award, and then lecture us all on what’s “right.”
The moment they get big, they start telling us how to live, what to believe, and even who to vote for, as if their being famous makes them experts on everything. It’s frustrating when awards shows feel like a competition for the best “woke” speech, and the awards themselves sometimes seem handed out just for that reason. These people can act all high and mighty, but half the time they come off as out of touch with the real world. It’s infuriating to watch them lecture everyday folks while they bask in luxury. I’m tired of it.
I miss the days when acting was about skill, dedication, and losing yourself in a role. Instead, we’re stuck with folks who seem more focused on scoring points with certain woke crowds than actually delivering an unforgettable performance.

I’ve had this gripe for ages—like, it goes back years for me, and it just. Will. Not. Quit. Sometimes I think, ‘Oh, maybe they’ll tone down the preachy vibe this season,’ but then it flares up all over again. One minute you’re peed off because your fave movie didnt win, next minute they’re wagging a finger at you for not living by their ideals. It’s been making me roll my eyes so hard I’m worried they’ll get stuck.🤦♂️

Yeah, I’ve been feeling this way too, but I’ll admit I’m torn. On one side, it’s good that some of them are using their platform to talk about topics that matter. But on the other hand, they can come off so… hmm... sanctimonious? Like, they’re in a different universe, and we’re supposed to just nod along. Politics, social issues—everyone can (and should) care, sure, but I can’t help rolling my eyes when they slip into that ‘I know better than you’ tone, ya feel me? ☺️
